Anti-Fascists in and around Eastern PA will have their dance card full this Saturday.

First up that morning, there is an Anti-Refugee rally being organized by whatever types of people want to be first in line to oppress and harass people fleeing for their lives under the banner of “America First: End Sharia Law.”  IDAVOX has more info on their site , but the event has the endorsement of at least one PA “politician” Berks County Republican committeeman , and is likely to draw members of the Keystone State “Skinheads” and  “3%ers” movement, a faction of the militia movement that have been in the news recently due to their involvement in the occupation of Malhuer National Wildlife Refuge, which is (of course) stolen Native land.

A counter protest has been announced by Central PA Antifa. Both rallies will take place at the Berks County Court house at Noon on Saturday 2/6/2016. Anyone who can get there to show support to our fellow Anti-Racists and Anti-Fascists should do so.

Finally, here in Philadelphia Saturday night, a demonstration has been called to counter a meetup by a group of internet troll misogynists and “Men’s Rights Activists” that is being organized by (among others) Daryush “Roosh V” Valizadeh. 

Valizadeh runs a website called “Return of Kings” which specializes in Anti-Women vitriol but also features tons of Anti-GLBT and racist postings (Link is NOT to their stupid fucking site). Valizadeh has been quoted as saying he supports legalizing rape “on private property.”

The meetup is one of over 100 worldwide. If is an effort by Return of Kings members to move from strictly online crying to crying in person. Probably because of the inevitable beating these fools will receive, if not on Saturday then one day really soon.

If you were ever unfortunate enough to read their site, you know that these guys have no idea what they’re talking about. One article they had was literally just 60 sexist quotes from a book of sexist quotations written over 100 years ago as some kind of evidence of the age old wisdom of misogyny in an attempt to get everyone to roll back their concepts of gender and sexuality to the level of the most reactionary idiots publishing books during the McKinley presidency.

What it is about our society that makes us produce people who think they live in a world without consequences? Is it a fundamental misunderstanding of the intent and scope of “freedom of speech?” Who knows?

What is known is that the local Return of Kings meetup rally and redirect point is in Washington Square Park at 7:30pm Saturday night.  A protest has been called at the park for the same time and location. Already Valizadeh is decrying the worldwide effort to shut down his events and (in this author’s opinion) laying the groundwork for what will inevitably be a lot of cancellations and last minute alterations.

Antifa Philadelphia hopes to see everyone in the streets this Saturday.

Our 2^nd annual conference was a huge success. Delegates were sent for the private plenary from Antifa Philadelphia, South Side Chicago Anti-Racist Action, Los Angeles People Against Racist Terror (PART)/A.R.A.-L.A., NYC Antifa (who are not TORCH members but were vouched in as observers), Rocky Mountain Antifa and the Antifa International Collective, based out of Quebec (also non-members). Antifa International traveled down to make connections between TORCH and Canadian Antifa, as well as to discuss their International Anti-Fascist Defense fund, which TORCH has endorsed and many of its members will be participating in.

Once the public section started we also met up with members of Asheville Anti-Racists, New Jersey Antifa, independent Anti-Fascists from all over the region, and even a pair of Dutch Antifa who happened to be in the city for holiday. Attendees were treated to a panel discussion and Q&A about Militant Anti-Fascists role in the Black Lives Matter movement, a video of which should be posted online shortly. Afterwards they saw a Russian documentary just recently translated to English “Ivan, in memory of our friend…” about the life and death of Russian Anti-Fascist Ivan Khutorskoi. They also got a sneak peek of the up-coming documentary about the Anti-Fascist movement in the U.S. entitled “No Fascist USA” by seeing a 10 minute trailer that will be uploaded shortly as well.

The conference show/after party featured some of the best bands playing in Philly right now and one visiting guest. Special thanks to Soul Glo, Fuck S.S., Autocracy East, Christopher Walking, Novatore (who came all the way from Chicago) and Leisure Muffin for playing. In addition to the acts we would like to thank The Rotunda for hosting, our panelists for taking the time, Black Orchid foods for letting use use their stuff, and Scranton IWW for providing security during our plenary so that all network members could participate.

It was a privilege to host the TORCH Conference and we thank everyone who attended, especially those who travelled from far away. We are already siked for next one.

One People’s Project has a longer report back posted on Idavox (a new news service for Anti-Fascists from the people at OPP), but, yea, they didn’t show up.

Despite KSS co-founder Bob Gaus claiming on social media that LED 2015 would be on Saturday at Noon, as it had been almost ever previous year, when Anti-Fascists mobilized to confront them they were met with some very confused joggers and a Viking statue and gazebo that had been tagged with Anti-Fascist graffiti.

We waited around for a few hours, taunting KSS and Traditionalist Youth on twitter to come and “smash the reds” who were so patiently waiting like sitting ducks, but they demurred.

After it was clear they were not coming, we thanked those that had responded to the call and went to lunch with some new recruits/supporters who had come out to oppose the event where we sat around and talked about how improved the situation was in Philly in the past 4 years. So thanks for that, KSS.

Yesterday eventually a picture was posted on social media of the 2015 Leif Erikson Day celebration:

Much like pacific northwest Neo-Nazi Jascha Manny did when he called a demonstration in Olympia, WA on a day that did not exist, the boneheads from KSS seem to have trouble using a calendar and clock. That is definitely not noon.

Look, we realize that this was a deliberate ploy by KSS to feed us misinformation so that they could hold their little nighttime demo to an audience of none without Antifascist opposition. What we don’t understand is why KSS could possibly think that proves anything other than Philly Antifa has lots of local supporters willing to mobilize on unconfirmed intel with a few days’ notice to keep their city an Anti-Fascist zone.

Here’s some (not even all) of the opposition who showed up Saturday:

This crowd was at least 90% Philly people, with some support coming in from NJ and NYC Antifa. When we look at the pic from the KSS demo, we see people from all over PA, Indiana, Ohio and probably a handful of other places. Could it be any clearer that Philly KSS is just a couple guys and an e-mail address at this point? Hell, we remember when these guys were going to counter Mumia demos and attacking Rambo shows. Now you can’t even directly meet us with an advantage of months of planning and support coming from hundreds of miles away. They can bluster and brag all they want, but that has to hurt.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to come out and stand in solidarity with us. We are very proud of our city and the work everyone has done the past few years to drive Philly KSS underground and to the edge of extinction. Special shout out to NYC Antifa and NJ Antifa for making the trip.This fight isn’t over, but we are winning.

Neo-Nazis plan to rally and march in Fairmount Park.

Where: Thorfinn Karlsefni Statue, Fairmount Park, Philadelphia

What: Stand up to racist hate and bigotry of all kinds.

For the past 9 years, the city of Philadelphia has played host to a gathering of Neo-Nazis right under the noses of it’s residents.

This gathering, known as “The Leif Ericson Day Celebration” is organized, promoted, and attended exclusively by members of Neo-Nazi organizations. In past years the gathering has drawn upwards of 50 hardcore racists and fascists to Philly and served as an recruiting and organizing tool for the main organization involved, the Keystone State Skinheads (KSS).

In addition to KSS, past Leif Ericson day celebrations have been attended by members of the Council of Conservative Citizens (CCC), The American 3rd Position Party/American Freedom Party (A3P/AFP), Volksfront (VF) , The Vinlanders Social Club (VSC) and the Hated Skins. All of those groups are considered hate groups by several independent organizations including the Southern Poverty Law Center, The Anti-Defamation League and the FBI. Furthermore, individuals who have attended past Leif Ericson day celebrations have been tied to racist terror organizations such as Blood and Honour and the KKK.

If past years are any indication, they will do a very short march in formation down lemon hill at Noon and attempt to lay a wreath and make speeches at the statue at the statue of Thorfin Karlson along Kelly drive.

After a massive turnout in 2013 to oppose that year’s event, KSS has worked to keep their plans very quiet to avoid having to face opposition whenever they come out. In 2014, they were successful in keeping those plans secret enough to hold the event without any opposition, but just this week, it was leaked that they are indeed planning something for this weekend. There is nothing publicly on the internet about it, no public announcement, and that makes it harder for people to organize against them, especially with a week’s notice.

Which is not to say we won’t try.

It is now less than 6 weeks until the TORCH Anti-Fascist Network national conference here in Philly. The public section of the conference will take place the afternoon and evening of Saturday November 7^th at The Rotunda (4014 Walnut Street) in West Philly. We are very excited about all public events.

The first event, starting at 2:00 PM on Saturday will be a panel discussion and Q&A. The subject of the talk is “Militant Anti-Fascism and the Black Lives Matter Movement” and will include several Anti-Fascists and Black Lives Matter activists discussing the role that Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists, both in and out of uniform, have played in opposing the Black Lives Matter movement and how Anti-Fascists can counter them effectively.

Immediately after the talk at 3:00 PM, we will be hosting a screening of “In Memory of Our Friend Ivan,” an hour-long documentary about the life and murder of Russian Anti-Fascist Ivan Khutorskoi who was assassinated in Moscow in 2009. The film was only recently released with English subtitles recently and has not been screened more than a handful of times in the U.S. After the film at 4:00pm we will be showing a short sneak preview of “No Fascist USA,” an upcoming documentary about the Anti-Fascist movement in the United States by a member of Antifa Philadelphia.

Both those events are free though we will be collecting donations for Anti-Fascists political prisoners and those facing legal repression for Anti-Fascist work.

We will then be kicking everyone out for a few hours to get ready for the Show of Unity that evening. Doors will re-open at 6:30. 5 bucks to get in which goes to the acts and Antifa prisoners.

The July 25 International Day of Solidarity with Antifascist Prisoners was a resounding success! In addition to comrades in Britain, the United States, Finland, Australia, Germany, Sweden, and Bulgaria taking part, the call to action was translated into five different languages and shared thousands of times on social media. The Day of Solidarity brought awareness to antifas that have been imprisoned in the struggle against fascism, and we have shown them that they have support all over the world!

Call for Submissions: No Fascist USA

“No Fascist USA” is an upcoming no-budget documentary about the Antifascist movement in The United States, made by a longtime militant Antifa with the assistance of members (current and former) of the Torch Antifa Network, The Anti-Racist Action Network, Red and Anarchist Skinheads and several independent Antifa groups.

In the fashion of Chasseur De Skins (France), 161>88 (UK), and Antifascist Attitude (Russia), this film will tell the history of our movement through a mixture of found footage and interviews with longtime Antifa from all around the U.S. It will seek to dispel several myths about Antifascism as well as address relevant criticisms, and ultimately create more and better prepared Antifascists.

Just some of the topics shown and discussed in the film include:

• The John Brown Anti-Klan Committee
• The founding of Skinheads against Racial Prejudice, Anti-Racist Action and Red and Anarchist Skinheads and the war against Nazis in Punk and Hardcore music.
• The Coalition for Human Dignity
• The rise and fall of the National Alliance and Creativity Movement
• The Murders of Anti-Racist Skinheads Dan and Spit in Las Vegas in 1999 and the trials of John Butler and Ross Hack.
• The 2002 “Battle of York”
• The 2005 Toledo, OH Riots against the National Socialist Movement
• The events surrounding the Jena 6.
• The 2011 attack on the National Socialist Movement national conference in Pemberton, NJ
• The 2012 attack on the White Nationalist Economic Summit in Tinley Park, IL and the resulting repression and imprisonments.

Due to time and money constraints, traveling to every city we would like to interview Antifa just isn’t feasible. Therefore, we are asking for your help.

If you have special knowledge of these events or others like them, we want to hear from you. Record a short video with yourself telling us what you want us to know. If you are knowledgeable about relevant historical or current topics, make a recording.

As we said before, the interviews are only half the film. We need footage. Protests, conferences (political or press), fights, benefit shows, news clips; anything that could be used to make the movie a more complete history. If the clip is not self-evident, please include a short anecdote, for example, “The KKK came to my town in 1999 and Antifascists mobilized against them here is an old local news broadcast about it.”

Please DO NOT send footage of anything illegal (unless the statute of limitations has long expired), nor confessions to crimes. If you are interested in being interviewed we would also like to hear from you. However, because of previously mentioned constraints no one is guaranteed an interview and no one who cannot be independently confirmed and vouched will be included.

Finally, if you are a member of an Anti-Fascist musical project of any genre and would like your music included in the film, we are also accepting song submissions. All submissions should please include lyrics.

There has never been a film about the U.S. Antifascist Movement. The closest one, Invisible Revolution, included no history and spent half the film giving a platform to Klansmen. It is also 15 years old. This project is long over-due and we hope that Antifascists all over the country will help make it a reality.

International Day of Solidarity with Antifascist Prisoners

Antifascists fight against those who—in the government or in the streets—dream of imposing their fascist and other Far Right nationalist nightmares on the rest of us. Throughout the world, Islamophobic, anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, and racist bigotries are on the rise. Antifas are on the frontline in confronting these reactionary politics, and we will not forget our comrades imprisoned in the course of this struggle.

The July 25 International Day of Solidarity with Antifascist Prisoners originated in 2014 as a Day of Solidarity with Jock Palfreeman, an Australian who is imprisoned in Bulgaria for defending two Romani men from an attack by fascist football hooligans. Groups around the world took action: holding demonstrations, benefits supporting the Bulgarian Prisoners Association, writing to Jock, and talking about the plight of the Romani and Sinti people in general.

In 2015 we would like to expand this day of solidarity to all antifascist prisoners around the world. We encourage groups to take the day to plan an event of their choice—whether it is a letter writing, demonstration, benefit, or other action—and to focus on the prisoners and related issues that are of most importance to them locally.

Dzmitry Zvan’ko

Dzmitry Zvan’ko was arrested for his alleged involvement in a fight between anti-fascists and neo-Nazis in Brest on May 8, 2013, that sent one Nazi to the hospital. He was arrested the next day, along with four other people, in a police raid on the homes of known anti-fascists. Dzmitry filed a complaint to the prosecutor about psychological and physical abuse while in custody. He was accused of malicious group hooliganism and serious bodily assault and faced up to ten years of prison. Dzmitry was found guilty and sentenced to five years of prison, but after paying off about 4,000 euro in damages he was granted amnesty, which has reduced his term by one year.

Jock Palfreeman

Jock Palfreeman is an Australian anti-fascist political prisoner serving a twenty-year prison sentence in Bulgaria for the rather mysterious death of a neo-Nazi football hooligan who was part of a group attacking two Romani men in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2007. Jock came to the aid of the Romani, and quickly found himself the focus of the attack. Bulgarian authorities did everything they could to ensure that Jock did not receive a fair trial, and after his sentencing have refused–in contravention of their own treaties–to transfer him to Australia to serve the rest of his time closer to his family. Jock wants donations for him sent to the Bulgarian Prisoners’ Association, which he is part of.

Valentin

Valentin was arrested on July 1, 2015, and is accused of taking part in violent clashes between antifascist ultras and neo-Nazi hooligans after a football match between SV Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV. The violent confrontation began when fascist hooligans from Bremen attacked a group of ultras, identifying them as left-wing antifascists.

Since his arrest, Valentin has been in custody awaiting trial and is charged with aggravated battery and severe breach of the peace (schwerer Landfriedensbruch). The police have presented him as the “prime suspect” in the case and have made clear that Valentin will be used by the state as an example against political violence.

His supporters are asking for donations to help with legal costs, and for letters and messages of solidarity. They ask that people writing keep in mind that the police read these messages, so to not reference anything illegal.

Aleksandr Kolchenko

Aleksandr  Kolchenko was arrested in Crimea on May 17, 2014, along with several others, and accused by Russian authorities of participation in a “terrorist group” which planned explosions near the Eternal Fire memorial and the Lenin monument in Simferopol, as well as having sabotaged railway tracks and electricity lines. Aleksandr is also alleged to have carried out two arson attacks in April: against the headquarters of the Russian Unity-Party, and the Russian Community of Crimea. He was transferred to Moscow and is being kept in draconian conditions. His lawyers are under a gag order, and have been refused elementary rights to defend him. He faces fifteen-to-twenty years in a labor camp.

Russian authorities claim that Aleksandr is a member of Right Sektor, a Ukrainian ultra-right nationalist organization, but he has no connection to the group—a fact confirmed by relatives and friends. Moreover, Aleksandr is an antifascist and anarchist who consistently opposed nationalistic movements in Crimea and faced constant fascist attacks for his activism. For example, after a film screening about murdered anti-fascist journalist Anastasiya Baburova, he was attacked by thirty Nazis with knives.

Since this case is highly political, Aleksandr’s legal costs are high, around 850 euro per month. The investigation has created a heavy financial strain on local ABC groups, and there is a call for financial support and information distribution. Alexey Sutuga

Alexey Sutuga is a longtime anarchist and anti-fascist who was arrested in April 5, 2014, for a fight with members of the ultra right in Moscow. He was sentenced on September 30, 2014, to three years and one month in prison for his alleged involvement in the fight.

However, this sentence comes in the context of an earlier case from April 2012, when he was arrested for allegedly taking part in a fight at a punk/hardcore concert in Moscow on December 17, 2011. The conflict began after club security, consisting of members of the far right, provoked guests. The concert was stopped prematurely because of the fight, but the security then attempted to take some of the audience hostage and threatened to call their nationalist football hooligan friends in reprisal. The audience members resisted and the club security opened fire with rubber coated metal bullets. However, the club security was neutralized and sent to the hospital. The case against Alexey and several others was eventually dropped in January 2014 on the eve of the Sochi Winter Olympics as part of the amnesty bill, approved as a PR stunt on initiative of Vladimir Putin.

Sergi Hernandez

Sergi Hernandez was arrested during a protest in Barcelona against a concert organized by the extreme right-wing National Democracy party on October 12, 2011. He and several other antifascists were charged in connection with the beating of Alejandro Fernandez, a promoter of the Barcelona fascist social center Casal Tramuntana, who attended the concert.

The morning of his trial, in October 2014, Sergi’s supporters held a protest calling for his acquittal; they were attacked by several dozen neo-Nazis. The fascist attackers included members from Casal Tramuntana, as well as several Falangists and members of the Third Positionist group Movimiento Social Republicano. The fascists, under the watchful eye of riot police who did nothing to prevent the attack, kicked and beat the antifa supporters, gave Nazi salutes, and shouted “Heil Hitler!” Many of the fascists wore Golden Dawn t-shirts.

In November 2014, Sergi was sentenced to two years in prison for aggravated assault motivated by “ideological hatred.” He appealed to the Supreme Court, who in July 2015, actually increased his sentence to three years! This follows months of repression against anarchists and other activists in Spain. In a statement read at a press conference after the Supreme Court’s verdict, Sergi said that “Barcelona has been, is and will be the tomb of fascism.” He will begin serving his sentence in the next month.

Joel Almgren

Joel Almgren was sentenced to five years and six months for defending a local community-organized anti-racist demonstration in Stockholm against a brutal Nazi attack on December 15, 2013. The peaceful protest—against fascist assaults on local anti-racists and the dissemination of Nazi propaganda in area schools—was attacked with knives, sticks, and glass bottles by the most militant Nazi group in Sweden. Anti-fascists at the scene defended the demonstration from the attack and many were injured themselves.

Luke O’Donovan

On New Year’s Eve of 2013, Luke O’Donovan attended a house party in Reynoldstown, a neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia. Luke was seen dancing with and kissing other men at the party. Later in the night he was insulted with homophobic slurs, and attacked by several people at once. Luke unsuccessfully attempted to escape, at which point several witnesses reported watching between five and twelve men ganging-up on Luke and stomping on his head and body, evidently with the intent to kill him. He was called a faggot before and during the attack, throughout the course of which he and five others were stabbed. Luke was subsequently imprisoned and charged with five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as one count of attempted murder.

Luke’s trial concluded on August 12, 2014, when he accepted a negotiated plea deal. He agreed to a two year sentence beginning that day, and then eight years of harsh probation. The judge  also banished Luke from the state of Georgia for the term of his probation.

Jason Hammond

Jason Hammond accepted a non-cooperating guilty plea and was sentenced to forty-one months on January 2015 for his part in an organized direct action taken against a group of white supremacists.

In 2012, a group of racists and white supremacists organized a White Nationalist Economic Summit in the Chicago suburb of Tinley Park. Groups of anti-fascists and anti-racists from the Midwest confronted the meeting and successfully shut down the event through a righteous melee. In the aftermath, five antifascists were arrested, and dubbed the Tinley Park 5. The five were sentenced to upwards of three years and all have since been released. Jason was arrested later, and is the last person still in jail for this action.

TORCH Antifa Conference 2015

 

 

A few weeks from now, April 10-12, Philly will host Infest 3 at the Voltage Lounge. The stage won’t be populated by Nazi boneheads preaching racism or xenophobia. In fact, none of the bands on the bill (that we know of) have any shady political affiliations.

However, once again the involvement of Martin Jason Schacteer aka “Shlak,” has people considering whether attending this fest will be throwing tacit support behind repeated attempts to push metal, punk, goth and electronic music towards a right wing and anti-equality position by first pushing it towards an apathetic position regarding the presence of Neo-Nazis and their supporters in those scenes.

Shlak has been an associate of the “Atlantic City “Skinheads” for over 10 years. His old band, Call the Paramedics, played a benefit for ACS member Christopher Arlan at Le Grande Fromage in 2008 alongside The Hard Way and Vicious Circle, all Neo-Nazi bands with ACS members or associates playing in them.

Arlan has Chrohn’s disease (hence the benefit show), but before you feel too sorry for him here are some choice quotes from his time posting on Stormfront, the world’s largest Neo-Nazi message board.

Shlak supporters like to minimize the event and say that he is no longer associated with ACS. The benefit was in 2008. That is not ancient history. Antifascists first reported on this when it happened and repeatedly throughout the years, and Shlak has never apologized or denounced ACS. He continues to associate with them, socialize with them, and welcome them at his shows.

In addition to Shlak’s nazi ties, Call the Paramedics was also known for their incredibly misogynist lyrics and song titles, including “It’s not Rape It’s Surprise Sex,” which they also made into a hoodie and sold online.

And for those who just need to see this sort of thing to be sure, here’s Shlak with ACS member Cody Hoebel.

After the controversy involving Call the Paramedics a few years back led to several shows being cancelled, the band broke up. Shlak now plays in a band called Eat the Turnbuckle who was recently touring Europe. Two other members of Call the Paramedics formed a band called Hammer Fight.

Shlak runs a record label called Uselessdrunk Productions, which has partnered with Worthless Christ Productions, to put on Infest.

The festival is being sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon and Burning Angel. We would like to encourage our readers to contact them and let them know that they are giving money to a Neo-Nazi playing ironic who has infiltrated the Philly metal scene and is opening that scene to Nazi like Chris Arlan, Warren Mieckle and Cody Hoebel. He would also welcome ACS scum like Chris Ising and Walter Dille if they both weren’t currently locked up for Hate Crimes and Murder, respectively.

The danger of having people like Shlak and the rest of ACS existing within the Philly scene, especially in positions of influence, is significant. Shlak’s association with Voltage in the past has already gained it a reputation as a place where Nazis can be welcomed by management and protected by security.  When The Blood played Philly a couple years ago at Voltage, ACS members Warren Mieckle and Cody Hoebel were there with several Hammerskins.  Management refused to let Antifascists kick them out.

Hoebel attacked a punk for wearing a “Nazi Punks Fuck Off” patch (after calling them a “faggot”) at a show more recently and was finally kicked out. Rumor is he got jumped down the street. The show that this happened at was at a bar owned by a member of Shlak’s band Eat the Turnbuckle.

Critics of Antifa love to accuse us of trying to spread division in the Philly alternative music scene and causing violence.  But how can we have unity with people like Hoebel and Arlan when they clearly want nothing but division and violence? The only way to have a united scene is for that scene to be 100% against racism, fascism, sexism and homophobia. That means getting off the fence and demanding that of others.

Some of our friends might argue that there is no such thing as a united scene and that “the real Philly scene” doesn’t have a Nazi problem.  In a sense that is true and a thing to be proud of.  However, if we don’t expose people like Shlak and ACS then new kids coming in won’t know the difference between “the real” scene and the scene populated with Nazis, fence walkers and profiteers and they may never learn it.

Spread the word. Don’t go to Infest 3. Don’t go to voltage lounge. If they don’t drop their sponsorship of Infest, don’t drink Pabst’s or masturbate to Burning Angel.

No compromise with Nazis or their best buddies.

 

 

Steven Wiegand is a Neo-Nazi, apparently. According to a source who went to school with him, Wiegand grew up in nearby Pennsauken, NJ.  He has run a Neo-Nazi music label and distro called Micetrap Distributions, LLC. since 1994. Micetrap distributes a huge catalog of Neo-Nazi music, clothing and literature.

The label has always been registered to a P.O. Box in Maple Shade, NJ, right over the Ben Franklin Bridge from Philly.  Recently, a flyer circulated in Philly claiming that Atlantic City “Skinheads” band Aggravated Assualt would be playing at an Outlaws Biker clubhouse in North Philly at a show organized by Micetrap.   Eventually, the show drew so much negative attention that it was cancelled.

However, after a little research Wiegand’s history is anything but simple.

Wiegand has been hanging around the Atlantic City “Skinheads” since he first became a bonehead, and retains close ties with the group and it’s leader Warren Mieckle, but it is still unclear if he has ever been a member. Wiegand’s first known WP crew affiliation was with a group known as the White Victory Skins (WVS), a short-live South Jersey bonehead crew. According to several sources formerly and currently imbedded in the WN movement,  Wiegand turned state’s evidence and provided video to the Pemberton, NJ Borough court showing WVS’ leader, Dennis Lurty, JR. possessing a gun as a convicted felon. As a result, for the past 15 years very few people in the “White Nationalist” movement have wanted anything to do with Wiegand.  Since that incident, Weigand has also drawn heat from certain sectors of the WP/WN scene for printing and selling designs that he didn’t create on t-shirts: several belonging to WP band The Blue Eyed Devils and a “S.H.A.R.P. Shooter” T-shirt originally designed by the Keystone State “Skinheads.” S.H.A.R.P. stands for “Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice,” a.k.a. known as real skinheads.

Wiegand is also involved in performing on, producing and printing Neo-Nazi records.  His website advertises for Racist and Nazi bands to contact him or mail him demos.  He offers to distribute their work “to every interested record label and zine in the world.”

…(Wiegand) joined the National Alliance in January, 2000, but by the end of the year, a message from Billy Roper listed Micetrap Distribution and Steve Wiegland as “enemies” of National Alliance. This may stem from the accusation that Micetrap sent a computer virus to NA headquarters.” (Rogue’s Gallery Entry).

In 2004 Wiegand was fired from his job managing a gas station in Marlton, NJ after 2 newspapers wrote articles about him moving Micetrap to Maple Shade. Wiegand sued the company and in court documents claimed to not be a a Neo-Nazi, but that he found the racist, sexist, homophobic and pro-nazi material to be “funny.”  Though Wiegand was forced to admit on the stand that material on his site identified Adolph Hitler as a god and had numerous references to murdering just about everyone but him and his fellow Nazis.

Wiegand owns and lives at 55 Grant Avenue in Cherry Hill, NJ.

In addition to the SUV, Wiegand or someone else living at the house drive a Black Mustang and a Black Sedan.

As deplorable as it is to be an earnest Nazi, Wiegand is something even worse. He is a Nazi: for him to suggest anything else is laughable; but he is also a profiteer, police informant and two-faced hypocrite. One only needs to glance at his deposition from the aforementioned lawsuit to see that he is incapable of owning up to his affiliations and activities. He, like ACS and so many other Fascists and Crypto-Fascists these days, hides behind humor and irony instead of owning up to being part of that lineage.  But whether he thinks it’s funny or not is actually really irrelevant.

Wiegand has profited for over 2 decades by spreading some of the most vile and bigoted music and literature in the world.   Often, the people he sells it to are young and very impressionable to the message of racist, sexist and homophobic violence that permeates everything Micetrap releases.  People like Christopher Crumb, who murdered a disabled elderly black man in an unprovoked and random attack in Atlantic City in order to try and impress his buddies in the Atlantic City “Skinheads.”  People like Walter Dille, an Atlantic City “Skinheads” member who killed a black woman in a botched carjacking. People like Michel Gunnar and Kyle Powell who were convicted of hate crime charges for a random and unprovoked attack on two Egyptian men in East Windsor in 2011 alongside ACS member Chris Ising.  We’re willing to bet that, more often than not, the Nazis involved in these and thousands of similar murders and assaults have ordered something from Micetrap records at some point in their lives.

Those albums and books and videos encouraged these acts. Wiegand not only distributes them, but he produces more. He (through Micetrap) glorifies imprisoned Nazi murders as heroes and POW’s.  He has spread a message of extermination of Jews, people of color, Anti-Racists and feminists. Wiegand may never have physically harmed anyone, but he has blood on his hands.

Very few individuals we’ve encountered in Neo-Nazi and White Power movements has done so much damage without ever being held accountable. Neo-Nazi label Resistance Records at it’s peak involved hundreds of Nazis working together all over the U.S. and Canada.  Whereas, as far as anyone can tell Micetrap is solely Wiegand’s venture.  Judging by his window decal and Micetrap logo tattoo, one he is proud of.

We intend to shut down Micetrap Distributions for good.  We are calling on Antifascists everywhere to help us.  Making money for 20+ years by helping poison the young and confused into violent Fascists and Nazis is unforgivable.  We can’t go back in time but we can take steps to fight back today.

Apparently the attention drawn to the show by Antifascists was picked up on by several local media outlets, which led to the Mayor Nutter’s office calling the Outlaws directly and asking them to cancel the show, citing safety concerns.

You might notice from the City Paper article linked above that the show’s organizer, Steven Weigand, disassociated himself from the event claiming it appeared to him “to have been made by the Communist blogs or Daryl[e] Lamont Jenkins.”

Fortunately, Atlantic City “Skinheads” member Chris Arlan (who posts as ‘AC Skin’ on Stormfront) never misses an opportunity to promote a show for his buddy Warren:

According to a flyer circulating on social media, Atlantic City “Skinheads” (ACS) band Aggravated Assault is scheduled to play a show at the Outlaws Biker Gang clubhouse at 2103 E. Somerset Street in Philly on January 10th.

Aggravated Assault dates back to the late 1980’s. It’s members are all ACS with strong ties to the Eastern Hammerskins and NJ Prison Skins.  It is fronted by Warren Meickle, the de-facto head of ACS. That is, since their founder Bryan Bradley was killed by a bolt of lightning while working on the construction site of the short-lived Revel Casino in Atlantic City in 2011. Meickle also fronts a band called Chaos 88 (88 = HH = Heil Hitler)

Meickle, their Guitarist Scott Hudson, and the rest of the band are are undiluted Nazis and White Supremacists. Meickle even sports a portrait of Hitler on his stomach set against a giant flaming Swastika. Some of their songs include:

The show is being promoted by Micetrap Distribution, LLC, which is run out of Maple Shade, NJ by a longtime Neo-Nazi named Steve Wiegand.

Wiegand has been around for years, recording and distributing Neo-Nazi music and merch since the early days of the internet.  He has a reputation as a profiteer making money off the White Nationalist movement by many people on both sides of the fence, and was at least for a time targeted by certain boneheads because he was distributing bootlegs of early shows by legendary Antifascist Oi band The Angelic Upstarts, thereby demonstrating his lack of real dedication to “the cause.”

The Outlaws Motorcycle Club dates back to the mid 1930’s with chapters all over the Country as well as in Britain and other nations. They are a 1%er club (a reference to the former President of the American Motorcyclist Association saying that “99% of Motorcyclists are law-abiding citizens”) that engages in a litany of illegal activities ranging from mail fraud and drug running to extortion and murder. According to Wikipedia, “On August 24, 2009, 15 members of the Outlaws Philadelphia chapter were arrested in connection with a methamphetamine ring. Those arrested included chapter president Thomas “The Boss” Zaroff, Jr., and Charles “The Panhead” Rees. According to Pennsylvania District Attorney Tom Corbett, the gang sold methamphetamine in Philadelphia… Pennsylvania and… New Jersey.”  However, the Outlaws seem most notorious for their violent conflicts with other MC’s, especially the Hell’s Angels.

The relationship between 1%er Motorcycle Clubs and Neo-Nazi crews like ACS or the Keystone State “Skinheads” (KSS) is varied and always in flux.  Most 1%er MC’s are all white and there is a prevalent culture of racism and white supremacy in many of them that is often hardened by prison and it’s racial segregation and animosity. This situation is fostered and made worse by the Guards and Prison Officials in order to keep the prisoners divided against each other.  The Outlaws, Pagans and Warlocks among other 1%er MC’s have former bonehead members, some of whom have risen to leadership positions.  That said, for many members of these clubs Fascist politics have little to no appeal.

There are those in the Fascist camp hostile to bikers and their lifestyle as well. When the Neo-Nazi Vinlanders Social Club (VSC) message board was hacked by Anonymous a few years back, Antifascists found a few messages between a couple Vinlanders, Ryan Broverone (formerly of NJ living in Arizona at the time of the message) and “Tommy” A.K.A. “Bull” from Florida, repeating an oft-heard complaint among “serious” White Supremacists about the biker gangs and their culture (notes and bold added by us):

These are not uncommon charges. A few years ago Aryan Nations head August Kreis attempted to start an exclusively Neo-Nazi biker gang but recruited an undercover FBI agent to run it and ended up getting a bunch of his friends arrested. It is rumored that one of those arrested in the sting is the son of an Outlaws MC member in Florida.

The Keystone State Skinheads (KSS) have made many statements in the past 10 years claiming to be virulently Anti-Drug, especially when that drug dealing is being done by White People to White People, as is commonly the case in biker meth rings.   KSS is also part of the Blood and Honour network, which counts Broverone and the rest of the Vinlanders as members. Yet Philadelphia KSS head A.J. Olsen is a friend of Meickle and a fan of Aggravated Assault who in all likelihood will be attending the show on the 10th. KSS has also booked several Aggravated Assault and Chaos 88 shows over the years so there will definitely be several of their members in attendance as well.

It is unknown how close the ties are between the Philly Outlaws MC and ACS, KSS and Micetrap Distribution.  We will post more information as we get it.We are asking our readers to help spread this information far and wide.

Anthony James (AJ) Olsen is a longtime Neo-Nazi who co-founded a short lived bonehead crew called the South Jersey Skinheads. SJS was essentially a Keystone State Skinheads (KSS) satellite crew with only 2 members. Since relocating to Philadelphia from Sicklerville, NJ, Olsen has risen through the ranks of KSS and become their main organizer in Philadelphia.  Olsen also organized an counter-protest the The March Against Racists and Rapists, bringing a dozen Neo-Nazis into the city to help him harass and threaten people for being against Racism and Rape.

Olsen has organized several Neo-Nazi rallies in Fairmount Park each October, which he bills as a “Leif Erikson Day Celebration.” Olsen also helps organize Neo-Nazi Hate rock shows in secret that are used to find new recruits as well as spread their poisonous ideology. He is a regular at almost every Neo-Nazi event in the tri-state area.

Olsen may be working as security or an exterminator. He lives with his girlfriend, Briana Pietropaula, who is a supporter of KSS. Sources within KSS report that she is very unstable mentally and that Olsen is emotionally abusive and neglectful, as well as openly unfaithful, using Craigslist to try and arrange meetups with young women in the area.

Olsen and Pietropaula are living at 2913 Knorr Street.

If you encounter Olsen please treat him as the Neo-Nazi scum he is. We have the right to keep our city clean of hate-mongers and fascists, especially those involved in violence against those that live here.  The first step is awareness of the problem.
